The Wild in the City

I’ve taken several trips recently to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. It’s on the northeastern edge of Denver with a view of downtown against the Rocky Mountain skyline. The grasslands of this refuge stretch all the way out to the Denver International Airport. And they support a large amount of wildlife. The largest…

Summer Gardens

Here are some more summer garden photographs to enjoy before we start to focus on fall and winter scenes.

Water Lilies

While it is snowing outside my window, I am revisiting the photographs of water lilies that I took at the Denver Botanic Gardens this year. As usual, if you are interested in any prints or merchandise with these photos, please visit this link and select the flowers collection to purchase. Enjoy some fleeting summer joy…

Denver’s Urban Landscape

I have so much fun when I go exploring in my own backyard. Denver is a small city that is quickly becoming a large one. Lot’s of changes means sometimes we have to hunt for the old in the new.

Santa Fe Travels

I’m finally getting around to posting some of my images from Santa Fe last summer. We were there for the Native American Arts Festival last August. I love the light and colors in New Mexico. Adobe in particular makes an excellent background. Links to purchase these images are in the captions below. More images from…

French Love Affair 2

Here are photos from day two in our French travels. Avignon was an amazing walled city. Their dedication to history and art is refreshing. And, ah yes, the food markets. I may have been food obsessed that day. A feast for the eyes (and the mouth).

French Love Affair

I recently had my Stapleton Open Studios 2017 show where I displayed work from the year. So I will finally reveal photographs from my trip to France last October. It was so wonderful to see that country in the fall. The weather was wonderful in the South (a bit rainy in Paris) and the food…

Rocky Mountain Splendor

Spent some time in the mountains the last few days. Enjoyed a nice hike and spent some time in Leadville.

Visiting Vermont

Vermont is called the Green Mountain State. While, to this Colorado native, the Vermont mountains looks more like hills, it is most definitely green. We stayed at the Mountain Meadow Lodge in Killington, VT.

Spring Blossoms

More snow is predicted for this weekend. But, in the meantime, the flowers are starting their splendid, spring show.
