I took time off last year from entering Art/Photography shows. I just had a little burnout, plus they can be expensive if I don’t sell enough to cover my costs.

But, it’s a new year now, and I’m entering my first show of the year. Tonight, Friday, and Saturday, I’ll be showing and selling at the Parkview Fine Arts Festival in Aurora (address on the image above).

There will be lots of visual artists there, plus a night of writers sharing their work (not me, just my photography this weekend), and Saturday night there will be music. The festival is free to attend.

If artwork is purchased, 25% is given as a charitable donation to Parkview Congregational Church for community activities. They are also accepting canned food items for their church food pantry if you are so inclined.

So, turn off the dismal news and doom scrolling this weekend and spend some time in community if you are in the area. And if you are anywhere else, take some time to visit local artists and galleries and show them some love.
