I have some exciting news to share:

My short story, “Mountain Trout”, is one of three finalists for the 2021 Women Writing the West LAURA Short Fiction Award. All three finalists receive a monetary prize and will be published on the WWW website on The LAURA Journal page in October.

First, second, and third placements will be announced at the Women Writing the West Conference in October.

Since 1995, Women Writing the West has been an organization of writers and other professionals who write and promote writing about the West with emphasis on the experiences of western women. Sybil Downing, Margaret Coel and Sandra Dallas are among the founding members.

It’s such an honor to be selected this year.
