I’ve decided that at the beginning of each month, going forward, I would share a previously published short story for one week. These are stories for which I still hold the copyright and I am making them available to you for a limited time. If you like them, and/or want to support the author, they are also available for sale on Amazon (and sometimes where other ebooks are sold) as individual ebooks.
And the first one is…
This is a short story about an old jewel heist and lost love. It was first published in April, 2021, on Amazon and then was included in the collection Art Capers in October, 2021.

Hi Heather,
After almost a month (and even owning a copy of the book), I was prompted by your email to finally read “The Sands of Time” and I loved it! Thanks for providing us a “free” copy. I hope I have purchased all your books and short stories, so far. My intentions were to buy everything you’ve written anyway. I especially loved how you wove the love story into a piece of art in the museum.
Thanks again for sharing your work. I think if you send a story via email, I might be more likely to read it. We’ll see.
Love you lots, Sarietha ________________________________

I’m glad you liked it! I’ll be publishing some new short stories this week and a new novel by end of March. But I’ll be putting up free short stories the first of every month (available for a week) on my website as well.
Love you! Heather
